The landscape of security is becoming increasingly complex. Data is proliferating – in volume, sources and forms – and has to be protected. Multiplying connections between personal and professional access are creating overlaps and tensions between security and privacy.
Security is one of Conga’s top concerns. In fact, Conga recently became one of the few providers in the Salesforce ecosystem to qualify for the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), the world’s leading organization dedicated to defining and raising awareness of best practices to ensure a secure cloud computing environment. Conga achieved this benchmark under the direction of Travis Howe, Conga’s CISO, who brings more than two decades of security, compliance, privacy and leadership experience to his role. Past roles include Navy Cryptologist, Cyber Security Program Manager for the Western one-third of the U.S. Power Grid, and Lead Security Architect for the Nation’s 911 next generation services, among others. With Conga, Howe is responsible for the strategic direction of the internal organization as well as customer requirements pertaining to security, compliance and privacy within the global environment that Conga serves. Howe has shared his expertise recently with a number of publications: Howe looks at how to strike a balance between security and productivity in “How to maintain data and document security with a mobile workforce” – CISO Online In “Privacy goes mainstream in 2017,” Howe gives an overview of why privacy issues will be a growing challenge in the year ahead - IT Briefcase You can read more about our robust, enterprise-grade security measures here.
