Conga ranks among top 7 vendors in 2021 Gartner® Critical Capabilities for Configure, Price and Quote (CPQ) Application Suites

We are proud to announce that Conga ranked among top seven by Gartner in the six Use Cases highlighted in the 2021 Gartner Critical Capabilities for Configure, Price and Quote (CPQ) Application Suites report.  

The Gartner Critical Capabilities report that evaluates vendors and provides a comparative analysis of CPQ offerings and services based on six predefined Use Cases. 

Conga’s consistent performance among all Use Cases 

We believe Conga CPQ was recognized by Gartner for its capabilities in supporting complex use cases on the Salesforce and Dynamics 365 platforms. Conga CPQ seamlessly integrates with multiple solutions including Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Sales Cloud PRM, and Microsoft Dynamics 365--which proves to be helpful for users in many sales use cases.  

Conga was ranked among top seven in all six of Gartner Use Cases which include: Direct Sales, Channel Sales, Self-Service Sales, Subscription Management, Complex Manufacturing, and Solution Selling. Specifically, Conga was ranked in the top two vendors for Solution Selling and in the top four for the Complex Manufacturing Use Cases. 

We believe Gartner also recognized Conga CPQ for recent performance innovations for configuration and pricing through our Turbo Pricing and Turbo Configuration engines. These features deliver best-in-class processing time for complex data, providing new or updated quotes 10x faster than other solutions, so the sales organization can respond to customers faster and win more deals in less time.

Why is CPQ important? 

CPQ is a sales tool, aimed at helping businesses produce accurate, on-brand, and highly configured quotes. The automated and centralized process allows for complex products, pricing, and business rules to be available and accurate in real-time, so sales teams have everything they need with just a few clicks.  

Having an automated CPQ solution in place closes CRM gaps and meets the needs of both companies adopting CPQ and their customers. When it comes to complex quoting and configuration, CRM software is simply not sufficient. Attempting to process and create complex quotes using manual solutions like Microsoft Word or Excel create speed bumps in the process and lead to unnecessary risk, while simultaneously proving to be error-prone. Manual is messy, inefficient, and ultimately slows down the revenue cycle.  

CPQ also puts parameters in place that ensures sales teams are only selling to the latest approved pricing and discounting rules, and that approvals — when necessary — can move quickly along without holding up deals.
