The Gartner Critical Capabilities report that evaluates vendors and provides a comparative analysis of CPQ offerings and services based on six predefined Use Cases.

Why is CPQ important?
CPQ is a sales tool, aimed at helping businesses produce accurate, on-brand, and highly configured quotes. The automated and centralized process allows for complex products, pricing, and business rules to be available and accurate in real-time, so sales teams have everything they need with just a few clicks.
Having an automated CPQ solution in place closes CRM gaps and meets the needs of both companies adopting CPQ and their customers. When it comes to complex quoting and configuration, CRM software is simply not sufficient. Attempting to process and create complex quotes using manual solutions like Microsoft Word or Excel create speed bumps in the process and lead to unnecessary risk, while simultaneously proving to be error-prone.
