Extend CLM to suppliers with a portal and sanction screening
The October 2026 release is our biggest Conga Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) release in years, and we know you’ll be as excited as we are.
Our vision for Conga CLM (is simple to say but ambitious to deliver: one CLM for every team and every contract, trusted, intelligent, and built for scale. Three themes guide every release:
- Intelligence: Embed artificial intelligence (AI) across the platform so workflows get smarter and more proactive
- Ease of Use: Simplify the experience so you accomplish more with less effort
- Connectivity: Connect Conga CLM to your customer relationship management (CRM) system, your enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, and the AI assistants your teams already use
October delivers on all three. The Conga CLM Redline AI, Search Skill, Clause Library Builder Skill, and Compliance Skill put AI to work inside daily contract workflows. One-click CLM setup, faster NDAs, a single-screen review, and smarter amendments cut friction. Conga’s new Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server brings CLM into the AI assistant you already use, such as Claude and Agentforce, while the SAP Ariba Connector and Supplier Portal extend it into the buy side.
Every feature below is generally available in October. Read on to learn what each one does for you.
Intelligence: AI That Does the Work
Conga Redline AI: Redlining through the entire review process
Upload a redlined contract and conga Redline AI marks it up against your playbooks. It flags language as favorable or unfavorable, and you accept or reject each change with one click. It also zooms out. Organization-wide clause similarity scores show where executed language has drifted from your approved standards, with drill-down into the contracts behind the drift.
Conga Search Skill: From finding contracts to understanding them
Ask a question in plain language and get matching contracts back with an AI-generated portfolio summary and a comparison table. The columns adapt to the clause type, so a liability search shows caps and carve-outs side by side. Ask follow-up questions in context to narrow to a single contract without restating your search.
Conga CLM Clause Library Builder: Hours, not weeks
Upload your existing Word templates and AI extracts clauses with metadata. Administrators can review the results and promote what they choose to the live clause library for future use. The same upload also saves your document as a usable contract template, so you build your clause library and a starting template in one step instead of two projects.
This release also adds a configurable extraction application programming interface (API), an out-of-the-box default worksheet, completion notifications, and support for Salesforce for the first time. Years of approved language become a searchable library in hours. Pair it with One-Click Simplified CLM Setup, below, and a new team gets to a working org even faster.
Conga CLM Compliance Skill: Catch risk during review, not after signature
As reviewers work through a redline, the Compliance Skill checks language against General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements. Each recommendation carries a risk score, and every check and reviewer action lands in a timestamped audit trail. For regulated industries, compliance becomes part of daily review instead of a post-signature audit.
Ease of Use: Less Friction, Fewer Handoffs
Automated request to signature
A business user submits a one-way nondisclosure agreement (NDA) request. The system applies the right approval workflow, creates the contract, and generates the document. The requester only has to send it for signature. NDAs move in minutes instead of days, and Legal focuses on negotiations that need judgment.
Streamlined contract review
AI-suggested clause language, flagged deviations, and full negotiation history now appear in one view. Documents sync automatically when a reviewer responds, so everyone works from the latest version.
Enhanced amendments
Choose Full Copy or the new Delta Amendment model, set by contract type. A Delta Amendment captures only the provisions you add, delete, or change, and links back to the original agreement. You get a cleaner record and a clear history of what changed and when.
One-Click Simplified CLM Setup: A working org in hours
Implementation time and cost rank among the top concerns customers raise when choosing a CLM. One-Click Simplified CLM Setup takes that on directly. A single click deploys a fully working Conga CLM org, with standard workflow, standard clauses, and standard templates already in place. A few hours later, you're running a contract end-to-end.
Pair it with the Clause Library Builder Skill and the timeline changes. Deploy the standard org, then upload your existing Word templates. One upload does two jobs: AI extracts your clauses into a library, and the document itself becomes a usable contract template. You go from nothing to a standard org with a populated clause library and ready-to-use contract templates in hours. That work used to take weeks.
Larger teams will still configure their own flows. One-Click Setup gives them a working baseline to shape instead of a blank slate. Sales engineers and implementation consultants can also spin up trial and sandbox environments on demand.
Connectivity: CLM Where You Work
Conga MCP: Ask your AI assistant, get it done
The Conga MCP Server connects the AI assistant your team already uses to Conga. Ask a question or request an action, and the assistant handles it directly in Conga CLM. October delivers three connections:
- Conga CLM on the Advantage Platform: Connect Claude or Agentforce to find contracts, check status, and move agreements through review and signature.
- Conga CLM Tools for Salesforce MCP: Ask your assistant to create an NDA, generate the document, and send it for review or signature through Salesforce's own MCP connection.
- Conga Contracts for Salesforce (CFS) Tools for Salesforce MCP: Create contracts, select managed clauses, generate documents, and send them for negotiation and signature through Conga Sign.
Administrators control which AI clients connect, and the assistant can do only what you're already permitted to do.
Conga CLM Connector for SAP Ariba: Sourcing and contracting in sync
Award a sourcing event in SAP Ariba and Conga CLM creates the contract automatically. When the contract is executed, it publishes back to your Ariba workspace. The two-way connector works with any eSignature tool and supports standalone agreements and amendments. Procurement and Legal stop re-entering data between systems.
Supplier Portal and Sanctions Screening: Built for the buy side
You've trusted Conga CLM with commercial contracting. Now it supports your buy side too.
The Supplier Portal gives each supplier a secure login to view contracts, track obligations, upload certifications, and message your procurement team. A supplier with an expiring compliance certificate sees the flag on their own dashboard and uploads the renewal themselves. Your team steps in only when something needs a person.
For your compliance team, Supplier Sanctions Screening checks one or many suppliers against the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and United Nations (UN) consolidated lists. Results come back as a clear match or no match, with a PDF report by email. A person always makes the call. When someone blocks a supplier, the decision is logged and enforced on every related contract.
One Release, Three Themes
October shows where CLM is headed:
- AI that does real work in the workflows your teams run daily.
- An experience simple enough to adopt.
- Connections to the tools where your business already operates, on the sell side and the buy side.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What's new in Conga CLM's October 2026 release?
October is our biggest Conga CLM release in years. It adds four AI skills (Redline, Search, Clause Library Builder, and Compliance), Conga MCP for AI assistants (Claude and Agentforce), a connector for SAP Ariba, a Supplier Portal with sanctions screening, and One-Click Simplified CLM Setup. It also brings Automated Request to Signature, Streamlined Contract Review, and Delta Amendments.
-
How does AI contract redlining work in Conga CLM?
Upload a redlined contract and Redline AI marks it up against your playbooks. It flags language as favorable or unfavorable, and you accept or reject each change with one click. The skill also scores how closely your executed contracts match your approved standard clauses, so Legal can spot drift across the portfolio.
-
What is Conga MCP, and which AI assistants does it support?
Conga MCP (Model Context Protocol) connects your AI assistant to Conga, so you can find contracts, check status, and move agreements through review and signature by asking. Claude and Agentforce connect today, and more assistants are planned. Conga CLM for Salesforce and Conga Contracts for Salesforce (CFS) work the same way through Salesforce's own MCP connection. Administrators approve which AI clients can connect, and the assistant can do only what you're already permitted to do.
-
How quickly can I now set up Conga CLM?
One-Click Simplified CLM Setup deploys a fully working Conga CLM org, with standard workflow, clauses, and templates, in about ten minutes. Add the Clause Library Builder and one upload of your existing Word templates populates your clause library and saves each document as a usable contract template. You can go from nothing to a standard working org in hours instead of weeks. Larger teams with more specific configuration can then configure their own flows and specifications on top.
-
How does the Conga CLM Connector for SAP Ariba work?
When a sourcing event is awarded in SAP Ariba, Conga CLM creates the contract automatically. When the contract is executed, it publishes back to your Ariba workspace. The two-way connector works with any eSignature tool and supports standalone agreements and amendments.
-
What's a Delta Amendment, and how does it differ from a Full Copy amendment?
A Full Copy amendment duplicates the entire agreement. A Delta Amendment captures only the provisions you add, delete, or change, and links back to the original agreement and earlier amendments. Administrators choose the model by contract type, so you can use both.
-
How does Conga CLM support supplier management and compliance?
The Supplier Portal gives each supplier a secure login to view contracts, track obligations, and upload certifications. Supplier Sanctions Screening checks suppliers against the OFAC and UN consolidated lists and returns a clear match or no match. A person reviews every match, and a block is logged and enforced on every related contract. For contract language, the Compliance Skill checks redlines against GDPR and HIPAA requirements during review.
