Top Intralogistics Brand and Global Manufacturer of Merchandise Stackers and Forklifts Ensures Compliance Across Global Contracts with Contract Management

SAN MATEO, Calif. – June 15, 2020 – Conga, the leader in digital transformation for commercial operations, announced that Jungheinrich AG has accelerated the digital transformation of its legal operations with the company’s Apttus Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solution.

Jungheinrich AG, a top-three intralogistics brand and global manufacturer of battery, diesel and gas-powered merchandise stackers and forklifts, will ensure worldwide compliance through automatically recorded and imported metadata. In addition, Jungheinrich AG will achieve greater visibility into its contracting process by making active and historical contracts accessible through digital availability.

“Efficient processes are crucial to not only our success, but more importantly, to the success of our customers,” said Steffi Premper, Senior Referent Contract Management at Jungheinrich AG. “With locations in 40 countries, it’s critical that we maintain our global contracts in a single and easily accessible repository. Apttus CLM enables us to digitally transform our contracting process through automation and intelligence, greatly reducing the risk of error by manual contract management.”

The Intelligent Discovery functionality enables Jungheinrich AG to easily import various contracts created in different file types into its Apttus CLM repository. Using patented machine learning software powered by Kira, Intelligent Discovery recognizes, understands and extracts the language in contracts and correctly identifies the terms, clauses, obligations and other key details. In addition to making the import of contracts significantly faster and more reliable, Intelligent Discovery also facilitates the use of customer templates, a critical function given a large portion of Jungheinrich AG customers insist on using their own contract templates.

“Lack of visibility into contracts is often ranked among the top challenges for our customers, particularly the global businesses,” said Michael Sauter, RVP DACH & Nordics at Conga. “Our dedication to the automation and intelligence built into Apttus CLM gives our customers the power to manage their contracts, no matter how complex, with efficiency and transparency.”

Prior to implementing Apttus CLM, Jungheinrich AG manually arranged the participation of different departments and its specialists across 40 sales units. The automation, centralisation and digitalisation of its key account contracts into a single, global repository allows Jungheinrich AG to focus more on providing an exceptional customer experience and less on minimizing the inherent risk from manual processes. Speeding up the contract negotiations, raising customer satisfaction and preventing compliance issues were also very important requirements for Jungheinrich AG.
